Road Trip to Branson

As you know, Dave and I took a few days to get away from it all!  Believe me when I say that it was a much needed break!  We traveled down to Branson, MO, which is just about the perfect distance away because it's not too far, but at the same time it's far enough from home to feel like it's a vacation.  We spent our time hanging out with family, boating, eating, and of course... shopping!

On the way down, Dave and I stopped at our "favorite" rest stop/gas station.  I know that sounds so funny, but how do you not "love" a gas station called Love's?  The added perk is that it is always clean!

One of the first things we did upon arrival was go to the quilt store!  I am an addict when it comes to bedding, and this quilt store is the ultimate for people like me!  I found the cutest country inspired quilt (I'll share pictures of it later)!  I was a happy camper for sure (as you can see from my picture)!

After quilt shopping, we were starving at ate down on "The Landing" in downtown Branson.  We ate at a yummy steakhouse and even saw the water show out the restaurant window!  It was a fun meal!

After eating, we had a chance to walk around the landing and visit the fun stores (my pops LOVES Bass Pro)!  It was all so pretty!

The photographer is actually in a picture!  Yay!

We couldn't resist the chance to take silly pictures!

After taking pictures in this store, we saw a sign that said, "Absolutely no photography."  Whoops!

Heading back to the car after a long day of shopping...

On our LONNNGGG walk to the car, we had the chance to see Lake Taneycomo at dusk.  This lake is so cool because it's so much cooler than any other lake.  It's around 65 degrees even in the summer, so every night a dreamy mist forms on top of the lake!  It was so pretty!

The next day it was time to stay at the resort on Table Rock Lake and BOAT!!  My parent's have had a boat since I was 10 years old, so it was a return to old times!  We had a lot of fun and it gave us all a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

The best part of boating was getting a chance to hang out with the entire family!  Between me, Dave, my mom, dad, and sister... we are always running a thousand different ways, so it was so nice to have catch up time together!

We had a great time hanging out... but soon it was that time leave Table Rock Lake to head back home!

It was the perfect quick get-away that we needed before school begins!
