17 Months on the 17th

This is our little princess, Nora's, favorite video right now...

I had to share because it describes our Nora perfectly.

Sweet & Just a Little Bit Sassy

Well today our little princess is 17 months old!  She is becoming such a special little girl.  I can't believe the journey our family has been on in the past 17 months.  Every moment has lead to today, and I wouldn't change anything one bit.  The love I have for this little girl continues to grow minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day.

I can't imagine this world without her sweet little grin...

Elmo and Sesame Street now have a place in our hearts...

It's amazing how we look at the small things so differently now...

Where will these little feet take her in the future?

She has filled our home with so much love (and chaos at times)

17 months ago, I had only been a mommy for a few hours.  Now, 17 months later, I can't remember what my life was like without my Nora.  I don't want to remember...

I know that I'm not a perfect mom, teacher, or wife.  I do know though that our amazing Nora Lane has made me better at all of my "jobs".  It's amazing how one little active red-headed girl can change all parts of my life.  I don't know how she does it, but she has changed all of our lives and won all of our hearts.  She is amazing in every way, and I am honored to have been chosen as her mama.

Love you, Nora Lane.  Happy 17 Months!!  Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back!

Peace, Love, and Princess Snuggles

Our "Fancy" Valentine's Day Photo Session

I'd like to think that over the years I've become somewhat of a talented photographer.  I don't deliver pictures to clients unless I LOVE them.  With that being said, it's SOOO different when it's your own kiddo that you're photographing!

I had the wonderful idea that I would take a "real" photo session with Nora for Valentine's Day this year.

I had big plans....
3 Outfits
Locations Scouted Out Around the House

Well, Ms. Nora had other plans.  Isn't that how it always goes though.  Even though it wasn't what I envisioned, I love our results.

100% Real
100% Nora
100% Not "Fancy"

I had a hard time getting her favorite, "cuppie" away from her!

I don't think so, Mommy

I'm busy and can't be bothered

Come catch me...

Is this good?  I'm looking at the camera!

How about this face?  Good stuff?

So... We took a snack break!

There's my big girl's smile!  Isn't it just precious?!

The food did the trick... Bring on the smiles, Ms. Nora

And my FAVORITES of the day...

And this is what I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE lifestyle photography.  These photos are my Nora.  Silly, adorable, and so very precious

By the way, I haven't give up on the other outfits and props.  That's just for another day!

So long for now from the Lerch household.  It's time for snow evening snuggles!

Peace, Love, and Pleasant Surprises

Session Favorites of 2013

I've decided that I MUST go back through my 2013 sessions and do some blogging.  I have WAYYY too many amazing photos not to!

I'm still working on how I'm going to do this, but for tonight, I'll share just a few pieces of random eye candy.

I shoot such a wide variety of clients, so I'll just give a samplin' of all of the beauty I had the privilege of capturing!

New Siblings...

Amazing Bonds Between Couples...

And My Favorite, Families...

Now, I've got A TON of photos to sort through and upload, but I will back back soon for shares.  Pinky Promise!!

Peace, Love, and Photographs

Looking Forward

2014 has already begun, and so have my new ambitions.
I'm always looking forward and pushing on to see what is around the next bend...

I am a person who never settles.  One who is never "done".  I have a few new ideas in the works for 2014, but I'm not ready to share just yet.  All I can say is that I'm excited.  Excited for new challenges and endeavors, and a chance to prove to myself that I CAN!

Peace, Love, and Excitement

Looking Back at 2013

I can't believe we are one little day away from starting 2014...

AMAZING!!  What an incredible year it has been for the Lerch family.  Soooo many ups, and a few downs here and there.  Overall though, what a blessed year we had.  Mostly because of this sweet little angel!

This shot was from the FIRST WEEK in our forever home on Market Street

The Lerch Family's 2013 in a Nutshell:
Selling Our First Home
Buying Our FOREVER Home
Moving... Ahhhhh
Setting Up/Decorating Our New Home
Nora Crawling/Pulling Up
First FAMILY Vacation to Wisconsin
Nora Walking/Running
Mommy Getting Back Into Working Out
Nora's Baptism
Nora's 1st Birthday Elmo Party
Daddy Going Back to Work as a Basketball Coach

Although it's been a crazy busy year, I wouldn't trade a day of it for the world!  Although Nora was born in 2012, I feel like 2013 was the year that I truly became a mom.  I got to see my little tiny baby grow into a sweet little girl, full of laughter and love.

Look at that smile!  It warms my heart EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Nora was about ready to take off walking!  I love her little tippy toes!

Baptism Day in her Aunt Kady's Gown

Cousin Lou's 1st Birthday Party... She had a BLAST with the Two-Man Band Playing!!

Nora and her Paw-Paw in Wisconsin... She Has Been His Special Bean Since Day 1

It's kind of funny how looking back through the pictures on my phone really takes me through all the emotions that the past year brought.  It just reinforces my beliefs that I am blessed with an amazing life and an amazing family!

Peace, Love, and Happy Memories of 2013!

Back to School Time

Well... It's been awhile... again.  I feel like that's all I ever say on here.  To be fair, this summer has been intense!  Moving, although only three blocks away, is never an easy thing.  Throw in an active baby, well you can understand where my time goes to!

It's hard to believe, but today is my last day of summer break.  Monday I go back to work, and Dave is already there.  I can't say that I'm not sad, but I'm also really excited!  I always feel like the start of the school year is a fresh start.  Last year was full of extreme ups and extreme downs, and I'm ready to move on and wipe the slate clean.

Even though summer FLEW BY, I do feel like we had plenty of time to enjoy our little Ms. Nora Lane.  She grew by leaps and bounds in just a few short months.  The first day in our new home, she crawled!  Within days after that she was pulling up and transferring from object to object.  And, in July when we visited Wisconsin, she took her first steps.  As you can probably guess, she's now a full-blown walker!  That's my girl... already an overachiever!  :)

I'm  making a goal to blog at least once a week from now on.  I want to not only showcase photos I'm taking, but more importantly, document our amazing days with Nora.  Life is so busy, and I don't want to let this time go by.

Now, of course, I must share a few pictures.  Some are "real" pictures from the "fancy" camera, and some are iPhone shots.  I've learned though, it's about capturing the moments, not about always have the technically perfect shots.

This was from early in the summer from our first trip to Ted Drewes Custard Stand.  If you know me, you know I love me my ice cream.  Guess what, Nora takes after her mommy!!

Speaking of my ice cream monster... We can't eat an ice cream cone in peace anymore.  She whines until she gets a bite!

This was from the Fireman's Parade this June.  It was Nora's first parade, and she loved it!  Not to mention, we had the BEST WEATHER EVER!

This was from Nora's first trip to the St. Louis Zoo.  We went on July 3rd, so it was a little crowded, but we had a great time with Nana, Paw-Paw, Morgan, and Jacob.

HaHa... This was after her first ice cream sandwich.  Yeah, she enjoyed it a little bit.

And a family shot from July.  My good friend Jackie Wirth was kind enough to do a little family session for us.  Nora wasn't exactly thrilled that we went into her nap time, but she was a trooper!

Well, I hear Missy Lou waking up from her morning nap.  We're heading off to have lunch with Me-Maw Kelly and Great Aunt Tracy.  We have to soak up our last day of summer break!!

Peace, Love, and Fresh Starts
