Ste. Genevieve

I wanted to share more pictures from our visit to scenic Sainte Genevieve...

To start our afternoon out and about, we ate lunch at a super cool restaurant called "The Anvil"!

The doorknob and locks are antiques and original to the building... over 200 years old!
The "details" around the building are so interesting... even the ceiling is fun to look at!

After we ate, we then walked around town to check out the historic homes/businesses...

The homes and buisness are so cute!  I just love everything about the town!
Just one of the historic buildings... I think it's so cool to think back about how important our area was in early American history!
Many of the buildings still have French names honoring their heritage
There are a TON of homey bed and breakfasts in this area... I'm sure you can see why

On our walk, we stopped at an old-fashioned ice cream parlor... a must for this ice cream addict
I love how this ice cream shop has kept all of the old-fashioned details like the milk-shake machines and silver dishes

Look closely at the hot fudge warmer... so cute!

What a great day with my sweetie...

Yes... that's a toothpick in his mouth :)  He's silly...
